Midwest Heart Clinic and Telehealth
Telehealth is a virtual consult where a patient will visit their doctor in a ‘virtual’ consult room. Similar to a face-to-face consult, it allows long-distance patient and doctor contact, care advice, reminders, education, intervention, monitoring, and remote admissions. We understand that not all patients will have webcam or computer access but phone consults are also possible.
What is Zoom and how do I use it ?
Zoom is a virtual teleconferencing website that provides a platform for the patient to “visit” their doctor. The process can be summarised in these steps. Before your consult, we will send you a “meeting ID” via email or text message that will allow you to enter the virtual consult room via Zoom. Once you have the meeting ID code, simply go to www.zoom and join the meeting. Once you have joined the meeting our staff will let you know when the doctor is ready to see you.
